It&#8217;s not complicated, let&#8217;s get into it. <\/p><p>WordPress has four attributes for every image:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Image Title<\/li><li>Image Alt Text (Alternative Text)<\/li><li>Image Caption <\/li><li>Image Description<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Except for Image Description, there are two locations where these attributes are saved. The image title is used as it&#8217;s HTML title (denoted by <code>title=<\/code> attribute in the markup) and the Alternative Text is used as it&#8217;s HTML alt text (denoted by <code>alt=<\/code> attribute in the markup). Image description is not part of image HTML markup and will only be present in the <code>Media Library<\/code>. <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If I Update Attributes In Media Library Will They Be Updated Within Posts?<\/h2><p>The answer is: No. <\/p><p>Updating the attributes in the <code>Media Library<\/code> does not change the image attributes embedded within posts or products automatically. <strong>This is where <a href=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/\">Image Attributes Pro<\/a> can help you save countless hours of manual work!<\/strong><\/p><p>You can also use Image Attributes Pro to <a href=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/copy-image-attributes-media-library-to-posts\/\">Copy Image Title and Alt Text From Media Library to Posts<\/a>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will Image Attributes Pro Update Both Locations?<\/h2><p>The answer is: Yes. <\/p><p>It depends on the settings you use of course.
