{"id":3960,"date":"2022-04-25T12:18:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T06:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/?p=3960"},"modified":"2023-11-07T23:20:13","modified_gmt":"2023-11-07T17:50:13","slug":"media-library-bulk-editing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/media-library-bulk-editing\/","title":{"rendered":"Bulk Edit Image Attributes In The Media Library"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With Image Attributes Pro version <code>4.4<\/code> and newer, you can edit your image attributes directly from the Media Library List view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To access this feature, make sure you are on the latest version of Image Attributes Pro, then head over to <code>WordPress Dashboard &gt; Media<\/code>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Media Library Grid View v\/s List View<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Media Library has two views: The <code>Grid view<\/code> and the <code>List view<\/code>. Editing features are available in the List view. You can switch between these views using the selector in the top left of the Media Library as you can see below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video autoplay loop muted src=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Media-Library-List-View.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Image attribute columns are available in the free version as well starting with <code>version 4.4<\/code> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/auto-image-attributes-from-filename-with-bulk-updater\/\">Auto Image Attributes From Filename With Bulk Updater<\/a> plugin. However, free version does not have sorting and editing features. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new columns for image Title, Alternative Text, Caption and Description can be enabled or disabled using the <code>Screen Options<\/code> drawer in the top right of your WordPress admin. When you are done, click <code>Save All<\/code> button to save the changes to the database. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video autoplay loop muted src=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Save-All-Edits-To-Database.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Copy Image Attributes To Post HTML Automatically. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As you might know, <a href=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/how-wordpress-store-image-attributes\/\">WordPress stores image attributes<\/a> in both the Media Library and also within the post HTML. Image Attributes Pro can help you update both these locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To update the post HTML whenever you edit the image attributes from the Media Library, make sure the setting <code>Copy image attributes to post HTML while updating in Media Library<\/code> is enabled. This feature helps you identify which images have empty image attributes and update them in no time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video autoplay loop muted src=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Sorting-Captions-In-Media-Library.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the above clip, the Caption column is sorted. This brings the empty captions to the top.
