{"id":431,"date":"2018-10-20T15:17:43","date_gmt":"2018-10-20T09:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/?p=431"},"modified":"2018-10-20T15:17:43","modified_gmt":"2018-10-20T09:47:43","slug":"new-images-auto-draft-as-attributes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/new-images-auto-draft-as-attributes\/","title":{"rendered":"New Images Uploaded Has &#8220;Auto Draft&#8221; As Image Attributes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you have configured <a href=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\">Image Attributes Pro<\/a> to auto add image attributes for new image uploads and every time you upload a new image you see the Image Title, Alt Text, Description and Caption as &#8220;<em>Auto Draft<\/em>&#8220;, then this troubleshooting guide is for you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also this happens when you have opted to set the post title or <a href=\"https:\/\/imageattributespro.com\/bulk-update-alt-text-image-title-woocommerce\/\">product title<\/a> as attributes for your images. If you are setting the image attributes from the image filename, this is not likely an issue.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The cause is that auto-saving of posts is disabled in your WordPress install.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Auto Draft&#8221; is the default title WordPress adds before saving the post. And since Image Attributes Pro pulls the data from the database, it reads &#8220;Auto Draft&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a test to confirm if this is the case.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add a title to your post.<\/li>\n<li>Save the post as a draft.<\/li>\n<li>Upload the image now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Does your images have the attributes as expected now?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How can I enable autosave?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p>You might have to check with your developer or host to see how autosave was disabled. It could be either by one of these ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check your wp-config.php and see if you find a line like this: <code>define('AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL', 86400);<\/code>. This increases the autosave interval to an entire day. The default value is 60 seconds so changing 86400 to 60 would be a solution.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Check for a plugin or in the functions.php of your theme to see if there a line like this: <code>wp_deregister_script('autosave');<\/code>. If so, try removing it.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Check if there is a plugin that is removing the WordPress Heartbeat.
